I can't believe its February since I last wrote in here. Where does the time go? Faster and faster as you get older, and I also now have a hole in my head where my brain used to be. Useful on those occasions when it pays to be dumb, but not so good when you're trying to remember where you put that pile of dirty laundry............

Hmmmm. Yes I have celebrated another birthday- well I tried to ignore it, but I still got cards from well meaning friends. And then I think I need compensation and perhaps I should make more of the occasion- to take the sting out of the tail as it were. Have a big party do something wonderful or demand a huge pressie. Perhaps a huge diamond ring, whose patterns of refracted light I could muse upon. Or a fabulous holiday somewhere unique and special....like in one of those tented luxury oasis places hidden in a desert somewhere miles from anywhere..and then I look at my bad tempered old grouch of a hubby and think.......er no.......If it were Viggo Mortensen now that would be a different story, but the Old Familiar.......

You see you guys think you have the sole claim to wanting to be with a sexy oppo and trading in the old model for a brand new one ...but we women feel just the same. Believe me. Its just a tad harder for us to achieve, especially with kids about. I am still getting 'MUM...what's for dinner?' After all these years.

Sigh. Sometimes I feel if I have to cook one more dinner/supper/lunch I shall chop off all my fingers so I can't prep food anymore. But you can imagine how much better life would all be with a new exciting sexy man about the place.....

Anyway I am planning an escape- a world tour- well half a world tour to start with and then the other half later. This is because of work commitments and stuff, not quite so free to dash off
under those circumstances. But I plan on Aus and NZ, maybe Tasmania, Mauritius, Madagascar, Zanzibar and a Nile Cruise to see the antiquities. I might leave out the Far East cos of tourists and bird flu, and I dont think I could eat curry all the time so maybe India might be a no no. But then there's Bhutan....But those are my intial ideas. I am trawling the internet for relevant info.

And on that note I must go see about passengers on cargo ships- I dont think I could stand to cruise but perhaps being on a working ship might be more interesting??
